         known. The European and Asiatic stilt (Himantopus
         candidus) is usually white, except the wings and
         interscapulars, which are greenish black. The
         white-headed stilt (Himantopus leucocephalus) and the
         banded stilt (Cladorhynchus pectoralis) are found in
         Australia.
