   stone, the twenty-fourth part of an ounce, a scruple,
   uneasiness, doubt, dim. of scrupus a rough or sharp stone,
   anxiety, uneasiness; perh. akin to Gr. ? the chippings of
   stone, ? a razor, Skr. kshura: cf. F. scrupule.]
